For my personal portfolio I wanted to try something new we hadn’t tried before in class but I did not have enough time to make too any new photos. The photos I made focus on the areas in photography that stood out to me as the best way I could express my artistic voice. I took macro, abstract and, my personal favorite, light pictures. For the light pictures I went in a dark room with a black backdrop and used glow sticks for the light sources. I used a long shutter speed to capture the light when I span in a circle. These techniques created some awesome pictures and I just wish I had more time to play around with light and enhance more images. Most of all I will feel like I have done my job as an artist if people are in awe at these pictures and they admire the effort and creativity put into the work.
